Dear Mr Briggs

I am writing to ask Mr Briggs to question the PM either in the party room or in parliament about his renunciation of British citizenship.

Ms Butler wrote on my behalf 4 weeks ago and still no reply.  http://tonymagrathea.blogspot.com.au/2015/01/a-reply-from-hon-terri-butler-mp.html

I rang his office last Friday and got this http://tonymagrathea.blogspot.com.au/2015/02/a-phone-call-to-pms-office.html reported in Independent Australia as https://independentaustralia.net/politics/politics-display/tony-abbotts-dual-citizenship-stop-asking-questions--hes-the-pm,7382

It is very unusual that someone would try to hide their renunciation of British citizenship, especially when proclaiming he leads team Australia.

You are well aware Mr Abbott was born in England to a British father, that's automatic British citizenship, got Australian citizenship in 1981 to get the Rhodes dollars and then joined parliament in 1994.

In October 2014 his Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet advised that the renunciation papers for his British citizenship do not exist.  That FOI/2014/159 is here -  https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B42C_wWg31otWnE4Z0dtVEZpYzA/view

Mr Abbott has a family fairy story where he got Australian citizenship by descent.  Trouble is Mum renounced her Australian citizenship to get the ten pound pom boat trip (or was she an illegal boat person roflmao)

He applied for Australian citizenship in the normal way, which is now a secret file in the National Archives of Australia. Citizenship normally or by descent doesn't trump the British citizenship, he needs to fill in a form and pay a fee in London which hasn't happened.  That document does not exist so he is illegal

Will you please ask and more importantly let the Australian public know.

The right wing media are calling birther, but a birther was a Tea Party racist in the USA who couldn't believe Mr Obama had a legitimate birth certificate.  We know he was born British,we know he got Australian in 1981 whats missing is the renunciation.

I do hope you can help

thanks

tony magrathea

This letter was sent to the Australian Parliament House email system so that there is little chance of it going missing.
